Encuentros de Amigos is a community organization seeking to restore our Latino Identity by reinforcing cultural and moral values.

Purpose

• Helping the community in developing their own ideas to be integrated in the economy.
• Assist the Latino population with programs that helps them to integrate in the community. 
• Develop multicultural activities that allows people to incorporate into new spaces that surround them.

Goals

• Encuentros de Amigos is preserving Latino traditions by promoting cultural awareness.  
• Improve the Latino community emotional well-being by supporting those who require attention with issues that a transnational process involves.
• Provide appropriate environment to enjoy social gatherings and educational experiences.
• Work in collaboration with local leadership who represent our community in bringing forward targeting solutions.

Philosophy

The culture composed by beliefs, rules, customs, language, rituals, art, technology, life styles, politics and economy allowing coexistence; however, the difficulties with a new language affects the adaptation of the individual to a new place and costumes. For this reason it is necessary to keep alive their culture by generating a sense of pride and admiration of our roots. 

There is a great number of inmigrants whom the melancholy makes them feel depress due to the isolation and the sense of loss of identity. For this reason, Encuentros de Amigos offer new ways to motivate themselves, recognized their potential, passion and hope, breaking together the continental barriers to transform into unity, looking for the common benefit emotional and financial well being.
